We are all sometime concerned about our game fps (frames per second).
In AA3 as we all by now noticed it is translated in ms (milliseconds)
So what is their relation one may ask.
If you have a 20ms on pressing F10 key this means that your fps are 50.
If on the other hand you have 80ms this is equivalent to 12.5 fps which will be jittery on the eye.
For those who are keen to translate their numbers this is how to do it :-
T=1/f
Where T is time in sec (NOT ms) and f is the frequency in hz (in our case frames per second)
So our 20ms has to be devided by 1000 to bring them in seconds therfore 0.02seconds
0.02sec=1/f
f=1/0.02 that brings us to 50 fps Â
As a rule the smaller the ms (correction thanks to Mrx) the better.
I know you are not stupid and most of you are aware of this ms/fps relation, but I thought that this may serve as reference to those not so technical, new members, and for those that are more used to fps instead of ms, we have when we press the F10 key.
Hope this helps

its also the human eyes
most movies run at ~25 fps, everything below this will be noticed by the eyes, you'll see the frames and itll be choppy
so ingame you should aim for about 30fps or more to be safe because it varies when, for example, you look at the sky vs a few guys shooting eachother with rpgs while nukes are being dropped xD
so johno ur good with 70-80fps
your game runs very smooth but you wont notice EXTREMELY much difference with 30fps

i think MS is the connection to the server from the computer ur using to the server
the connectention is then 20ms or what i have is 16ms
but thats what i think
Time synchro. with the server - Timezone/DST with your computer
